- Bachelors degree in Communication Disorders or related field.
- Completion of a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) program accredited by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in California.
- Experience with AAC devices
- Assist Speech Language Pathologists in conducting assessments and evaluations of patients communication and swallowing disorders.
- Implement treatment plans developed by Speech Language Pathologists, under their supervision.
- Provide direct therapy to individuals with speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to support comprehensive care for patients.
