Credit & Collections Supervisor

Location:
Annapolis Junction, MD

Salary:
$80,000 Annually

Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and mentor a team of two credit and collections specialists, ensuring they meet or exceed departmental goals.
Assess the creditworthiness of current and prospective customers, making informed decisions to minimize risk and support business growth.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for credit assessment and collections, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Monitor and manage the collections process, working closely with customers to resolve outstanding invoices and reduce days sales outstanding (DSO).

Prepare and analyze reports on credit and collections activities, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve credit and collections-related issues.
Manage all aspects of credit insurance policies, including applications, claims, and renewals.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in credit and collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.

Strong understanding of credit reporting agencies, credit insurance, and collections strategies.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems.
Must pass drug, background, and credit checks
