    DUTIES:


    Job Description:

    • Lead scrum teams as the Product Owner and work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value.
    • Manage Product backlogs and work with Development leads to prioritize the feature list for the release.
    • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product.
    • Participate and gather VOC from internal and external customers.
    • Create and update EPICs for functional aspect of the system.
    • Review software features on regular basis to ensure all requirements are met.
    • Lead internal/external software demos with feature owners and be responsible for tracking demo feedback through JIRA tickets.
    • Responsible for gap assessments and driving feature improvements and designs.
    • Work closely with UX expert to generate the functional mockups for the features.
    • Create and update PSD, PRD and help in reviewing user guides, test plans, and test reports.

    Roving Employee:
    Reports into company headquarters in Waltham, MA. Can work remotely or telecommute




    REQUIREMENTS:


    MINIMUM Education Requirement:
    Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study.


    MINIMUM Experience Requirement: 5 years of experience in software engineering, or in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience.


    Alternative Education and Experience Requirement:

    Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in software engineering, or in any occupation in which the required experience can be obtained, or related experience.


    Required knowledge or experience with:

    • NGS and bioinformatics software products;
    • JIRA;
    • Confluence;

    Microsoft Office Suite:
    Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;


    • Agile process and principles; and
    • Functioning as Product Owner/Testing Lead.
