    Job Summary

    The Solutions Architect will assist clients in the post-sales implementation of data center infrastructure automation initiatives (Software-Defined Data Center) as they move towards modern data center solutions and private clouds.

    • This delivery role involves low-level design and the hands-on deployment of enterprise infrastructure and platforms, providing upgrade and migration services, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
    • The Solutions Architect serves as a mentor to other consultants within the team.

    Key Responsibilities

    This position is a remote position with Home Office setup as determined by management.

    1. Performs low-level design and implementation work that may include architecture analysis and design, system migration, and systems engineering.
    2. Responsible for the design and implementation of:
    3. VMware VCF (VMware Cloud Foundation), both Brownfield and Greenfield,
    4. VMware VCF (Aria) Automation,
    5. Automation and IaC technologies such as SaltStack, Terraform, or Ansible,
    6. Proficiency in PowerShell, PowerCLI, and Javascript,
    7. Server virtualization & operations,
    8. vSAN, Storage, & SAN,
    9. Disaster recovery,
    10. VMware NSX and general virtual networking,
    11. Backup & ransomware resiliency solutions,
    12. Hyperconverged solutions,
    13. Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshops,
    14. Collaborate with sales and presales teams,
    15. Configuration and upgrade services within our customers' environments,
    16. Serve as a mentor and provide guidance to other architects and consultants within the team,
    17. Participate in pre-sales conversations, design, planning of services engagements,
    18. Stay up to date and on top of top industry trends and offerings,
    19. Provide technical leadership and mentorship in a pre-sales and post-sales capacity,
    20. Demonstrate long-term thinking as it relates to our Infrastructure practice and customer engagements.

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Extensive experience working on large scale IT projects related to design, deployment and configuration,
    • Ability to define, design, build, and maintain robust systems and solutions leveraging systems and infrastructure effectively,
    • Expert-level skills in VMware and associate product range in enterprise environments,
    • Strong analytical and research skills,
    • Ability to guide other consultants within the team,
    • Certification in one or more of the following: VCIX, VCAP, VCP, VCDX, CCIE, VMCE,
    • Completed Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience,
    • 7+ years of experience in solutions architecture or working with infrastructure,
    • 10+ years of experience with VMware and associate product range in enterprise environments,
    • 8 - 10+ years of technical experience with increasing responsibility.
