JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: Physician Anesthesiology (Cardiac)

• Clinical Shift Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:30a 3:30p (9-hour shifts)
• On-Call Shift Schedule: Weekdays 7p 7:30a; Weekends 7a 7a (24-hour shifts, optional 12-hour segments)
• Call Type: In-House
• Call Ratio: 1:2 (1-2 per week (backup MD available
• Callback Rate: Variable; average one delivery and three hours of cases after 7p COVERAGE DATES
• Asap - Ongoing

PATIENT INFORMATION

• Patient Demographics: Adults (90%) and Pediatrics (10%)
• Patient Volume/Census: Approx. 2 labor epidurals/day, with variable surgical caseloads post 7 PM
• Case Mix: General, Cardiac, OB, Neuro, Trauma, Ortho, and Burn

FACILITY INFORMATION

• Trauma Level: Level II
• EMR System: Cerner
• Specialty Backup Available: Full specialty support including Cardiac, OB, and Pediatric Anesthesia
• Support Staff Available: CRNAs (supervision model), 9 MDs onsite, nursing staff

• Credentialing Timeline: 90 days

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• NPDB Self-Query: Required at presentation
• Licenses: Active Pennsylvania license preferred; willing to accept IMLC candidates
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology (within 3 years of residency)
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS required
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of post-residency experience
• Other Qualifications: Must have recent (within 2 years) cardiac anesthesia experience and be comfortable with full range of cases (General, Cardiac, OB, Peds)
• TEE Cert
