    Job Description

    Job DescriptionScrub Tech/OR Tech/ORT/Surgical TechnologistMid-Late ShiftSecure and prepare all supplies required for surgical interventionEnsure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in ORPerform instrument counts prior to each procedurePrepare patient skin for surgical treatmentPosition and re-position patient during surgeryAssist the care team as necessary during surgeryProvide supportive care during the pre-operative phasePerform scrub functionsCollect and label specimens taken during surgical procedureFollow all federal, state, regulatory, and departmental safety proceduresHigh school diploma/GED requiredSurgical technician certification or training from an accredited school or training program preferred3+ years' experience in a hospital or outpatient operating roomCPR certificationSPD experienceFamiliarity with all surgical instruments and equipmentAbility to lift 50 lbs.Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic techniqueHeavy Ortho and spine cases experience preferredMust be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes when on call and called back in for patient care
