    Registered Nurse (RN) – ER Float Pool (ED Holds) | 12-Hour Night Shift | Trenton, NJ 08638

    Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a fast-paced ER Float Pool supporting ED Holds and Medical-Surgical Telemetry (MST) units.     • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,020–$2,130/week

    • Duration: 8 weeks
    • Schedule: 36 hours/week
    • Shifts per Week: 3
    • Shift: 12-hour nights
    • Weekend/Holiday Rotation: Every other weekend and every other holiday
    • Float Expectations: Floating required across multiple campuses/facilities and to any MST unit or ED Holds as needed
    • EMR: Cerner
    • Scrub Color: Navy Blue

    Job Requirements (Registered Nurse / ER Float Pool)

    • Experience: 2+ years of recent MST (Medical-Surgical Telemetry) RN experience (ED Holds/ER float experience preferred)
    • License: Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be valid at time of submission)
    • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) (required)
    • Vaccination: Flu vaccine required (no declinations accepted)

    Responsibilities (ED Holds & MST Nursing)

    • Provide high-quality bedside nursing care for ED Holds and MST patient populations based on unit needs
    • Float across multiple campuses/facilities and across units, adapting quickly to varying workflows, acuity, and team structures
    • Perform focused assessments, continuous monitoring, and timely interventions for changing patient conditions
    • Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and policy; maintain accurate, real-time documentation in Cerner EMR
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support safe throughput, patient education, and discharge planning
    • Maintain compliance with required weekend/holiday rotation and unit standards
    • Attendance expectation: If a scheduled shift is missed, the shift must be made up within the same week when possible; if not made up within the same week, the assignment end date may be extended to account for missed shift(s). Overtime to accommodate make-up shifts is not permitted.
