- Classroom Support:
- Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
- Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students who may require additional assistance.
- Help with classroom management, including maintaining order and discipline as directed by the teacher.
- Student Assistance:
- Provide support to students with special needs or learning disabilities, as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) or 504 plans.
- Assist students with assignments, homework, and other academic tasks as needed.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Help with record-keeping, such as maintaining attendance records or grading assignments.
- Prepare instructional materials and classroom resources as directed by the teacher.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities and projects.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate regularly with the teacher to discuss student progress, challenges, and successes.
- Collaborate with other school staff members, such as counselors or special education teachers, to support student needs effectively.
- Maintain open and positive communication with parents or guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
- Safety and Supervision:
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunchtime, or other school-related events.
- Ensure that students follow school rules and procedures to maintain a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Assist with emergency procedures, such as evacuations or lockdown drills, as necessary.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some positions may require additional education or training.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the classroom environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the classroom for extended periods.

Procare is currently working with a district in San Bernardino that is looking to contract Paraprofessionals for the 24/25 school year. This role involves assisting with instructional activities, providing one-on-one support to students, and helping to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
