    Position Details:

    • Performs initial and ongoing assessments to determine patients' nursing care needs
    • Develops, reviews, and individualizes care plans for optimum patient outcomes
    • Implements interventions safely and appropriately
    • Evaluates patient care responses for optimal outcomes
    • Competently performs technical skills independently
    • Maintains a professional demeanor to align with the organization's mission
    • Takes corrective actions to minimize risks to patients, families, and hospital employees
    • Provides age/weight-appropriate care
    • Adheres to safety activities, policies, and regulatory requirements
    • Participates in performance improvement initiatives
    • Attends department meetings and mandatory educational programs
    • Follows established guidelines and procedures

    Position Requirements:

    Education:

    • Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing
    • Must hold a Registered Nursing license in Nebraska or eligible compact state
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required

    Experience:

    • Preferably 1-2 years of perioperative, intraoperative, ICU, or PACU experience
    • At least 1 year of Operating Room experience is mandatory

    Physical Requirements:

    • This role is classified as Medium Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, involving exertion of force ranging from 20 to 50 pounds occasionally, 10 to 25 pounds frequently, and more than negligible up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. The physical demands exceed those of Light Work.
