    Our firm is seeking a dynamic, experienced Permanent Attorney specializing in Banking & Finance, with a focus on Low Income Housing.

    This is an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated team and make a significant impact in our community.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and services to our clients in the areas of banking and finance law, with a particular emphasis on low income housing tax credits and commercial finance law.

    This position offers a unique blend of complex legal work and community involvement.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide legal counsel to clients in the banking and finance sector, with a particular focus on low-income housing.
    • Interpret and apply laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities in the preparation of legal opinions, briefs, and cases.
    • Draft, review, and negotiate complex loan documents, agreements, and contracts related to banking, finance, and low-income housing projects.
    • Advise on the structuring, formation, and operation of various types of affordable housing transactions, including those involving low-income housing tax credits.
    • Represent clients in regulatory matters and disputes involving banking and finance law.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis on a wide range of banking and finance issues.
    • Work collaboratively with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
    • Stay updated on current laws, regulations, and industry trends in banking and finance law and low-income housing.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admitted to the State Bar and in good standing.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in banking and finance law, with a focus on low-income housing tax credits and commercial finance law.
    • Strong knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to banking and finance, and low-income housing.
    • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex legal documents.
    • Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-lawyers.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Commitment to serving low-income communities and advancing affordable housing initiatives.
