    **Summary of Responsibility:**

    The Server provides table service to on-site restaurant guests by taking orders for food and beverages, delivering orders to the table, and ensuring that guests have a pleasant dining experience.

    **Essential Duties:**

    Greets guests as they are seated at the table; ensures the table is clean and that utensils, napkins, and other needs have been provided.

    Develops and maintains effective relationships and two-way communication with residents and resident representatives; observes residents for significant changes and adverse reactions or conditions on an on-going basis and submits information for resident records on an informative and timely basis.

    Distributes menus and presents the daily specials.

    Answers questions regarding the menu.

    Takes food and beverage orders and delivers them to the kitchen.

    Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items to guests.

    Keeps the Executive Chef informed regarding any unusual incidents or issues regarding residents, team members, or the community.

    Prepares for the shift by reviewing information/reports.

    Prepares for service by setting up and sanitizing the dining room(s), meal trays, food carts, etc.

    Serves meals, beverages and snacks on a courteous and timely basis that are at the proper temperatures and presented in an appealing manner.

    Attends to the diners requests and removes used items and trash during the meal; clears the tables and trays promptly after the diner leaves.

    Maintains upstairs tables and coffee bar. Keeps bar supplied with coffee and pastries. Must inform team when running low on items.

    Prepares customers checks and collects payments.

    Assists with other tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.

    Keeps the dining room(s) organized in a safe, neat and orderly manner.

    Stores supplies in a safe, sanitary and timely manner.

    Ensures the dining room(s) and supplies are prepared and ready for the next meal.

    Closes the dining room(s) at the conclusion of operation.

    Assists in daily cleaning duties, such as sweeping, dishwashing, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, etc.

    Follows all policies, procedures and standards for safe food handling, service and storage; proper use of machinery and equipment; and infection control.

    Cleans and stocks bar area.

    Gratuity may not be accepted.

    **Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification, Age Requirement:**

    High school diploma or GED equivalent.

    Must be of legal age to sell and/or serve alcohol per state and/or local laws.

    One year of dining service experience preferred.

    Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws for alcohol service and consumption.

    Hospitality orientated with excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Professional appearance and demeanor.

    Must be able to multi-task and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

    Proficiency with POS software, applications, and basic typing skills.

    Flexibility with schedule including availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Must enjoy working with the senior population.

    First Aid/CPR certification is preferred.

    Knowledge of dietary accommodations preferred.

    Approved criminal background check, physical, and drug screen required.
