- Serve as the liaison for reinsurance underwriting management, coordinating between key resources, reinsurance brokers, reinsurers and senior management
- Provide reinsurance expertise to various teams responsible for transactions involving a reinsurance component
- Support all contractual and analytical aspects of reinsurance projects by developing solutions for optimizing reinsurance placements through creation of new materials, continuously recommending process improvements and partnering with key stakeholders
- Leverage technology in new and innovative ways and effectively communicate issues and recognize and propose new solutions to current/existing analyses while continuously progressing analyses beyond what was done historically
- Lead and direct responses within area of responsibility for state department of insurance data calls, product rate filings, and other ancillary regulatory and audit requests within mandated deadlines
- Support peer reviews to ensure data accuracy within ceded reinsurance team
- Support reinsurance claims recovery process, providing on-going reporting to Group, responding to inquiries, and collaborating with other teams to ensure accurate reporting and recoveries are received in a timely manner from reinsurers and state catastrophe funds
- Manage reporting to Group as required to meet reinsurance placement requirements, and respond effectively and timely to inquiries regarding reinsurance placement materials
- Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements
- Strategically partner with people at different levels within the organization to accomplish a common goal; build, maintain and leverage beneficial relationships with internal and external key stakeholders
- Close attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- Use multiple resources to gather and analyze information and use logic to address work-related issues and problems
- Collaborate with internal and external customers; understand the needs and goals of a customer and actively look for ways to meet those goals
- Monitor short and long-term impact of contributions and ensure long-term goals are met
- Support implementation of multiple complex projects
- Communicate information in a clear, well-organized, and professional manner

- Solid foundation of financial acumen and awareness of financial responsibility

- Preference for experience in the ceded reinsurance servicing industry or comparable financial services experience

- Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) preferred
- Advanced working knowledge of terminology, concepts and principles related to reinsurance
- Excellent understanding of insurance and reinsurance claims and premium reporting including systems and processes supporting reporting
- Business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique and coordination of people and resources

This role will support the execution of effective ceded reinsurance placements through the management of reporting requirements within area of responsibility and by coordinating between key resources, reinsurance brokers, reinsurers, and senior management.
