- Lead civil and structural engineering projects from conceptualization through to completion.
- Manage project scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client specifications.
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk assessments to inform project planning and decision-making.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process engineers, mechanical engineers, and architects, to develop integrated engineering solutions.
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software and methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project team members.
- Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to facilitate project approvals and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Coordinate with construction teams during the implementation phase, providing support and resolving technical issues as they arise.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and prepare regular progress reports for stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
- Professional Engineering (P.E.) license required in the State of Utah and/or other states.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with a focus on one or more of the Construction Materials & Handling, Energy, Mining & Metals, and Water & Wastewater Treatment industries.
- Proven track record of successfully managing engineering projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as STAADPro, RISA 3D, or similar.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks 3D Modeling, or similar design software.
- Experience in finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, such as PMI/PMP certification, is a plus.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a flexible mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and client locations as needed.
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and remote locations.
- Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and navigate uneven terrain.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, noise, and potential hazards associated with construction and industrial activities.
