    Job Summary:


    The Senior Instrumentation Engineer is accountable for driving results in a fast-paced environment by performing diagnostics repair of analytical instrumentation including HPLC, gas chromatography and laboratory equipment; performing instrument calibrations in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment, maintaining calibration of metrology standards, and completing and reviewing calibration documents.

    Instrumentation Engineer will use computerized equipment and software to perform testing functions and produce graphs and will serve as a mentor to junior team members.


    On-Site Expectations:

    • 100% on-site position.

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee entire Instrumentation maintenance and calibration program.
    • Develop process improvements and best practice implementation for the metrology function.
    • Serve as the company SME for the compliance related activities within the metrology function.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (B.S. or B.A.), or equivalent education and professional experience in life sciences industry.
    • 7+ years previous calibration/instrumentation experience preferred.
    • Previous experience working in a GMP environment preferred.
    • ASQ Calibration Technician Certification (CCT) and/or military PMEL training is a plus.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Excellent mechanical ability and working electrical knowledge required.
    • Excellent computer, organizational, and scheduling skills required.
    • Excellent knowledge of calibration services.
    • Working knowledge of metrological traceability and its criticality to quality calibration program.
    • Working knowledge of cGMP in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment required.
    • Excellent verbal communications and presentation skills required.
    • Ability to train and influence other team members.
    • Strong math aptitude and superior problem-solving abilities required.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
    • Commitment to maintaining technical knowledge and skills, perform all work with high integrity and confidence.
    • Ability to interpret moderate-to-complex technical and statistical information.

    Travel Expectations:

    • 25% travel expected.
