This full-time position covers La Plata, Maryland and the surrounding region. At this time, shifts will be primarily based at our upcoming La Plata location, and in the future may including coverage of other regional locations.

UM Urgent Care providers serve as clinical leaders in our centers—delivering exceptional medical care, fostering outstanding patient experiences, and working collaboratively in a close-knit team environment with medical assistants and radiologic technologists. We care for patients ages one and older, treating a wide range of conditions including upper respiratory infections, sprains and strains, lacerations requiring sutures, employee health physicals, work-related injuries, and preoperative evaluations.

Providers work 12-hour clinical shifts (8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.), typically 3 to 4 shifts per week, totaling approximately 12–14 shifts per month. Urgent care is a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers a broad spectrum of patient presentations, ranging from acute illness to minor injuries.
