    What You'll Do in This Position
    Provides policies, guidance, and support for the Quality Assurance Programs to the Site for multiple contractors. Provide leadership to ensure that ISMS and Quality Assurance are integrated, and implemented effectively.

    Major Responsibilities


    • Defines the strategy and objectives to be met for the organization
    • Responsible for setting the policies/procedures and executing functional leadership for all Quality Assurance programs
    • Ensures all activities by quality Services and matrixed QA organizations are focused on accelerated completion of cleanup activities, effective accomplishment of ongoing operational missions and achievement of PBI objectives.
    • Leads the development and implementation of the quality assurance management systems to meet the requirements in 10CFR and DOE Order 414.1A.
    • Provides senior management leadership for implementation of all aspects of the company's Procurement QA Program. Directs all sitewide Receiving Inspection, Vendor Qualification and Source Surveillance activities. Maintains SRNS's Qualified Supplier and Supplier Performance Information databases.
    • Interfaces directly with senior DOE HQ officials, Program Office leadership (i.e. NNSA, EM, Science, etc) and complexwide senior DOE and contractor leadership.
    • Manages all aspects of the operations to include planning, resource allocation, budgeting and mentoring of assigned employees.
    • Provide program oversight, guidance and support to SRNS Business Units to assist them in interpretation and implementation of policies, standards, and practices regarding QA program, Procurement Quality, and Inspection issues.
    • Provide guidance and subject matter expertise to DOE-EM regarding QA policy development and improvement initatives. Represent SRNS on QA national standard and code committees, and leadership with the EFCOG QA Working Group.

    Qualifications We Desire
    Experience in nuclear activities, quality assurance, quality control, oversight activities or regulatory programs desirable.

    Experience at an operating nuclear plant, commercial/DOE operations or in related activities such as nuclear facility design, construction, or operational experience in a similar high technological industry also desirable.

    Thorough knowledge of government nuclear industry practices and regulatory precedents/strategies, and a knowledge of nuclear quality assurance terminology, requirements, methods and practices.

    Demonstrated organizational and customer relations traits with a high level of credibility in developing and handling a wide variety of interpersonal relationships.

    Strong understanding of the technical and regulatory areas for which this position is responsible, including experience directly related to the nuclear industry.
