POSITION SUMMARY
A Lead Software Developer's main purpose is to develop moderately complex software programming applications and modify/maintain the existing software. Software Developers will develop information systems by studying operations; designing, developing and installing software solutions. Leads in providing timely software delivery and the

personal/professional

development ofteammembers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer

Science/Information

Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.


Required Competencies:
Moderate knowledge with C# or Java and web technologies
Moderate knowledge of the software development process and related technologies
Understanding of major programming and database languages
Drive to stay current on the newest technologies and methodologies
Moderate knowledge of web technologies, such as Angular, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5
Understanding of design patterns, best practices, analytical thinking and good troubleshooting skills
Excels at communicating with technical and non-technical business associates and partner level stakeholders
Understanding of test-driven development
Motivated, superb work ethic


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR DUTIES
Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the department and the company.

Participate in the design phase of software projects, working closely with the Software Architects and design team.

Work with the Technical Team Lead and team to analyze and optimize code and systems regularly.

Provide maintenance, support and troubleshooting for end-users, especially during new releases and hot-fixes.

Advanced understanding of how to develop and interface with RESTful APIs.

Work with VP of Data Integration Services to develop departmental roadmaps.

Lead and mentor team of Software Developers in developing and maintaining software, guide team development efforts to successful project delivery.

Read and understand code submissions and provide feedback to improve code quality and reduce bugs.

Plan sprints and tasks for software developers.

Observe and document developer's performance to assist with annual performance reviews.

Other duties as assigned.
