Summary
Carl Vinson VAMC presents an exciting opportunity for recent graduate RNs through the Registered Nurse Transition to Practice Program (RN-TTP), a 12-month residency initiative.
The program caters to post-graduate RNs who have attained nursing degrees at different levels. Classes are conducted at the Dublin VAMC. If you are new to the nursing profession or have graduated less than a year ago, this program is tailored for you.
Qualifications
Applicants pending the completion of educational or certification/licensure requirements may be considered for selection but final hiring is subject to meeting all prerequisites.
Required Experience:
Graduation from accredited RN program, Active RN license, NCLEX Certification, Post-graduate RN with under one year of experience.
Grade Determinations:
Criteria for assigning grades ranging from Nurse I Level I to Nurse III based on degree and experience.
Note regarding MSN degrees:
MSN obtained via qualifying Bridge Program removes the need for a BSN.

Physical Requirements:
Various physical demands including lifting, carrying, standing, and mental acuity.
Duties
The open continuous announcement for this role will continue until December 31, 2024. Initial cutoff date for applications is January 22, 2024, with subsequent bi-weekly deadlines. VA provides an attractive total rewards package:

The Registered Nurse Transition to Practice (RNTTP) Residency is a comprehensive program to support the RN during the initial year of practice across various settings. It includes orientation, preceptorship, clinical experiences, and didactic sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
