    Description

    Responsibilities:
    This position is responsible for delivering high quality accounting documentation and analytical support.

    The Senior Accoutant must also ensure the accuracy of the Companys consolidated financial records and will be responsible for assisting with the monthly close process, various quarterly and year-end reporting requirements as well as be involved with special projects.

    This position works closely with the Accounting staff as well as other members of the Finance organization. This position may also work closely with other departments in the organization.

    Prepare account analysis and reconciliations for various balance sheet and P&L accountsCash entry postings, cash and Investment reporting / forecastingCalculate, analyze, and process various entries including investment entries, clinical trial accruals, vendor accruals, prepaid entries, fixed asset entries and other recurring entriesAssist in quarterly review and annual audit preparations and processAssist with SOX compliance efforts by performing established control procedures, documenting related internal control processes, and testing to ensure these controls are adhered toPerform ad hoc projects as requested by management and associated with the growth of a life sciences company.


    Qualifications:

    Bachelors Degree in Accounting and a minimum 2-3 years of related experienceBig 4, public accounting or life sciences experience preferredAnalytic and problem-solving skills a mustStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work in fast pace environmentAbility to effectively multi-task projects within given deadlinesExcellent computer skills.


    Strong proficiency in Microsoft programs:
