    Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designee for Interventional Radiology, the primary responsibilities of the Interventional Radiology Technologist include but are not limited to:

    • Developing and applying concepts of leadership/management and communication theory teaching
    • Function in a leadership position by serving as a preceptor
    • Operate Fluoroscopic equipment to meet current ALARA standards
    • Maintain accountability for instruments and supplies and assist MDs with performing sterile procedures
    • Maintains controlled access to restricted area during radiation exposure to ensure the safety of patients, visitors and hospital personnel
    • Maintenance of professional standards
    • Produce analog and digital radiographic images of human anatomy utilizing fixed or mobile equipment in varying settings including OR and Interventional Procedure
    • Provide age appropriate assessment and interventions in order to meet the needs of patients and families served
    • Will provide support at all interventional radiology locations
    • Salary: $ $73.81 Hourly
      Qualifications
    • ARRT license - required
    • CRT license - required
    • Fluoroscopic permit - required
    • BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required
    • Radiologic Technologist School graduate - required
    • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position; must be able to move over 35lbs. and wear 25 lbs. of lead apron - required
    • At least 6 months experience in an Interventional area - preferred
    • VI or CV certification - preferred
    • Assuring that the interventional rooms are appropriately stocked
    • Procedure data is collected and recorded on the requisition and retrievable for billing and QA purposes
    • Billing is accurately performed following procedures
    • Ability to work the posted schedule and "on call" as set up by the department with a response of 30 minutes for call back cases
