- Support the planning and execution of Space Payload Element Modeling and Simulation development and integration for the upgrades to the program Element.
- Lead activities to develop flow diagrams, Software Design documents, and Interface Control documents.
- Lead activities to review and develop system designs through Model Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo.
- Lead activities to decompose high fidelity concepts into lower fidelity algorithms or characterize performance in statistical models.
- Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SSBI clearance.
- 5 or more years of modeling and simulation experience.
- Experience collaborating with other Integrated Product Teams to execute the strategy of growth, on-time delivery, and technical excellence as well as extensive experience in performing engineering work.
- Experience in missile systems or weapon systems development and/or analysis.
- Experience with or knowledge of Cameo and/or DOORS.
- Ability to understand complex system designs and algorithms.
- Ability to derive a system design/functionality based on high-level requirements.
- Ability to design flow diagrams of system functionality.
- Experience working on an Agile-based development team.
- Experience completing iteration demonstrations and working with stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry from an accredited course of study.
- Active TS/SSBI Clearance.
- Missile Defense Agency program experience.
- System of Systems Integration experience.
- Experience supporting space-based sensor or weapons systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to review performance, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, or the Atlassian tool suite (Jira).
- Utilization of Digital Engineering environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and possesses the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
- Master's degree or higher.

Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support an Electro-Optical (EO) / Infra-Red (IR) Mission Systems team in Huntington Beach, CA. The selected candidate for this position will support the development of Space Payloads for optical sensing systems.
This is an onsite position.
