Basic Function:

Inbound Freight receiving
Pulling parts for transfer to assembly lines
Stocking and re-stocking of parts
Truck unloading and loading

Principle Duties:

Understand, support and execute all work in safe manner and contribute to a culture that promotes safety as its overriding priority.
Operate warehouse equipment in connection with the receipt, storage and shipping of parts (sit down/stand up fork truck, order selector)
Use scanners to transfer material from receiving to the supermarket (parts warehouse) or from the supermarket to the assembly line.
Package finished product for shipping (shrink wrapping, boxing, labeling).
Pick kit components and transfer them to the assembly lines
Stage parts for loading.
Load finished product onto truck
Unload parts from truck
Move parts to warehouse for storage.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Perform various other duties, as assigned

Accountability:

This position reports directly to the Receiving Supervisor.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED
Exposure to manufacturing or mechanical environment
Forklift experience required

Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds of weight.
Must be able to climb, twist, turn, bend, stoop, kneel, push loads and work at moderate heights.
Must have good depth perception and be able to operate power lift truck safely.
Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Must be flexible and a team player.
Must be able to read paperwork and box markings, write legible and transfer numbers accurately.
Must be able to use hand tools required for the job.

5S Training
TCV (Total Customer Value) / Quality Training
General Safety Training

Physical Demands:

Required to be constantly moving about the facility (standing, walking).
Lifting of items (not to exceed 50 lbs.)

Personal Protective Equipment:

While on shop floor, must always wear safety glasses and steel toed shoes
No loose clothing, watches, jewelry, rings, etc. that could get caught in equipment or tooling.

Work Environment:

Mainly a plant environment, with some office exposure.
Exposed to any number of elements (heat, cold), but none present to the extent of being disagreeable.
