    Position Summary

    The Department of Pediatrics at the
    University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking an experienced
    clinician in Endocrinology . This position is Open rank and Open Track . Successful candidates should have experience
    with inpatient and outpatient care of children and adolescents with a broad
    spectrum of endocrine disorders and with patient education. This faculty position includes opportunities
    for research and teaching at a dynamic, well-supported academic medical center. Applicants with a particular interest in
    diabetes or obesity in an ethnically diverse population of the Southwest are
    urged to apply. Salary and track will be
    commensurate with training and experience.

    ABQ as a City in State of
    New Mexico:     New Mexico is a geographically
    large state, with both urban and rural populations totaling 2.1 million. Albuquerque is a four-season city one mile in
    elevation with year-round sun and moderate climate. Centrally located, it offers access to a
    variety of unique outdoor, culinary, and cultural opportunities. Santa Fe, home to world-renowned art, food and
    history is nearby. Hiking, biking,
    skiing, golf, etc. are readily available. The University of New Mexico offers a variety

    easy transportation. The city is home
    tothe University of New Mexico, the Albuquerque International Balloon

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Must be authorized to work in the
      U.S.
    • Able to obtain state licensure(s)
      in the state of New Mexico.
    • BC/BE in Pediatric Endocrinology.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experienced in both inpatient and
      outpatient care of a broad spectrum of childhood endocrine disorders.
    • Experienced in professional and
      patient education, teaching, and research.
    • A demonstrated commitment to
      diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with
      broadly diverse communities.
