    Salary Range:
    $75,000 - $85,000

    Position Summary:

    • Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance and monitoring of the districtnetwork, performing a variety of maintenance, evaluation, installation, and training tasksto ensure LAN/WLAN/WAN performance meets district and user requirements.

    Education/Training Requirements? Minimum five or more years experience in networking and systems administration field? Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of experience, education, Microsoft, Cisco,Aruba, or other vendor certifications.? Industry standard technical certifications such as Microsoft Server, Cisco Switching andVOIP, Aruba Switching and Aruba Central, Clearpass or similar administrationexperience highly preferred, or several years of hands-on experienceKnowledge and Skills:? Extensive knowledge of server operating systems, server hardware, switching andnetwork administration? Attends to detail, possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills? Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills? Ability to work independently, to organize work, and to manage details.? Ability to reason logically, draw valid conclusions, and make appropriaterecommendations.


    • Previous experience supporting firewall systemsESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Technology is a constantly growing and changing field that requires this position to be flexible ina number of responsibilities, including but not limited to:? The successful candidate must be respectful and personable towards all technologyusers? Being a self directed learner, possessing traits such as motivation and initiative tomeet project deadlines assigned by the Director of Technology and Safety? Having a strong knowledge of maintaining, customizing, troubleshooting andsupporting physical and virtual server environments? Having a strong technical knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPMC,experience with Google Admin Console strongly preferred? Investigate problems, identify source, determine possible solutions, test andimplement solutions? Install, configure, and maintain servers, network equipment, backups, networkcabling, and other related equipment, devices and tools and systems: add orupgrade and configure disk drives, printers, and related equipment? Perform and/or oversee cyber security device and application deployment andupgrades? Maintain and implement network security, including firewall monitoring andconfiguration, patching of network applications and devices, back-up, and disasterrecovery plans? Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correctmalfunctions and other operational difficulties? Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability andperformance expectations? Anticipate communication and networking problems and implement preventivemeasures? Establish and perform maintenance programs following company and vendorstandards? Ensure timely notification of maintenance requirements and effects on systemavailability? Investigate, recommend, and install enhancements and operating procedures thatoptimize network availability and security? Maintain confidentiality with regard to information processed, stored, and accessedby network? Document network problems and resolutions for future reference? Other duties as assigned
