Acara Solutions is seeking a talented Sr. Accounting Manager to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Rolling Meadows IL

Responsible for intricate accounting tasks, you'll ensure financial statement accuracy and timeliness, supporting strategic goals through expert reporting

• Responsible for complex accounting tasks, ensuring financial statement accuracy and timeliness
• Oversees general accounting functions including payables, receivables, and ledger management
• Orchestrates audits and recommends procedural enhancements
• Handles budgeting, ad hoc analysis, tax compliance, and maintains GAAP adherence
• Proficiency in GAAP, Excel, and financial reporting is essential
• Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication finesse
• Proven track record in audits and data management

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or a related area
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation
• Proven ability to work with large amounts of data and manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrated experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
