Description:
The Director of Operations focuses on effectively leading an operations team to achieve daily production, quality, cost, and delivery requirements in support of the business operating plan.
Specific Job Function:
Operational Oversight:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations across various departments, including supply, logistics, IT, and customer service.
Monitor operational performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure targets are met.
Establish and lead execution of operations strategies including developing short and long-term plans and ensuring that proper measures are in place to track progress.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement.Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and guidance to departmental supervisors and frontline staffFoster a positive and productive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Customer Satisfaction:
Leading the customer service team to address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Resource Management:
Utilize key performance indicators to oversee the operations' team, making necessary recommendations for on-going enhancements and ensuring adequate management reporting and visual management is in place.
Oversee inventory management and procurement processes to maintain adequate stock levels while minimizing costs.
Communication and Collaboration:
Facilitate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
Close collaboration with service and product management departments.
Budget Management:
Assist in the development and management of departmental budgets.
Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining operational.
Qualifications
:
8+ years' experience managing middle management employees and their teams.
8+ years' experience in operations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Google Applications, Salesforce, and SAP experience preferred.
Experience working in a start-up Environment.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Effective multi-tasking and organization.Thrives in a dynamic environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization.
Clear communication, both written and verbal, with proper grammar and spelling.
Demonstrated knowledge of key metrics and financial analysis.
Demonstrated ability partnering with all levels of an organization.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
