    Our client, founded in the 1800's and headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, operates clinics, regional hospitals, senior care, surgical units, institutes, and acute care.


    Summary:
    The Director, Financial Planning and Analysis leads the budgeting, forecasting and business analytics of the finance team. Responsible for delivering analytics and business support to enable informed decision making by senior leaders. Responsible for providing critical financial and strategic consultation to cross-functional leaders across the organization. Conducts financial analysis, modeling, forecasting and reporting efforts to ensure efficient financial operations. Serves as a key interface between finance, operational management, and the executive team.

    Establish function of comprehensive understanding of key business drivers and models that enable the team to deliver value-added analysis across the hospital including consolidated and clinic-level analysis.

    responsibilities:

    • Evolve processes and tools to support the strategic to annual budget and rolling forecast process.
    • Develop and coach the Financial Planning and Analysis team.
    • Build daily, weekly, and monthly reporting structure for the clinical operations team to meet management needs.
    • Support CFO and Senior Management team with key strategic initiatives and analysis including monthly financial operations reports and dashboards. Serve as liaison to Executives regarding financial and operational questions, direction, and strategies. As new operations begin, create with management and FP&A team relevant reports needed to manage the new operations, analysis of key business trends, and then automate them as possible.
    • Ensure FP&A team is working with all clinical areas of the business as required to provide financial reporting and insight.
    • Work with leaders in operations and revenue cycle management to ensure optimization of revenue as analysis is performed on existing operations and as new operations are implemented.
    • Partner with Controller to support financial close cycle.
    • Develop analysis and presentation of the Extended Care Hospital Financial Statements monthly to management and quarterly to the Extended Care Board. Present budgets and rolling forecasts quarterly to the Extended Care Board for approval.
    • Must be detailed-oriented, capable of directing multiple work streams simultaneously, possess strong communications skills, and have superior time-management to meet crucial deadlines.
    • Assist leadership in the identification of risks and opportunities throughout the hospital including streamlining of business processes.
    • Provides leadership by planning, managing and leading the activities of assigned staff.

    qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with major in accounting or finance is required.
    • MBA, preferred
    • CFA and/or CPA preferred.
    • Experience in Health Care preferred.
    • A minimum of years' professional post-college work experience with progressively greater responsibility and to include staff management.
