A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join its team. This organization develops and manufactures advanced jet engine components for military and commercial aircraft applications. The company fosters a collaborative, clean, and organized manufacturing environment focused on precision and quality.
Position Overview
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision gas engine components.
This role works with lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment to manufacture high-quality aerospace parts in accordance with engineering specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes, mills, grinders, shapers, and/or manual machines
Machine precision components to engineering and customer specifications
Inspect and test parts to ensure compliance with blueprint and manufacturing standards
Perform visual inspections to ensure parts are free of defects or surface damage
Maintain accurate documentation and part identification per planning specifications
Communicate effectively during shift transitions to ensure continuity of operations
Perform routine machine maintenance
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Support additional production-related duties as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years of experience operating lathes, mills, or grinders
Strong background in precision machining
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing specifications
Working knowledge of GD&T
Experience machining aerospace materials such as stainless steel, Inconel, Hastelloy, aluminum, or similar alloys preferred
Ability to work afternoon or night shift
U.S. Citizenship required
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to push/pull up to 60 pounds
Grip strength of at least 50 pounds
Ability to reach above shoulder height
