Description
Overview:
Director reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and is directly responsible for directing and coordinating the Senior Care Unit in a manner reflective of the Hospitals philosophy and objective for maintaining required supplies and staffing.
This position is responsible for day-to-day operational management of clinical support activities and functions in the Geriatric Psych department.
Responsibilities:Education: Must possess a current Alabama Registered Nurse License, have demonstrated proficiency in written and verbal communications; possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the public and have at least three years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment.
Experience: Desirable characteristics include a BSN, with a minimum of two years supervisory experience. MSN preferred. Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
License/certificates: Licensed by Alabama Board of Nursing. BLS and ACLS Certified
