Wieland is hiring a
Industrial Process Engineer Intern
. The Industrial Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting
maintenance, engineering, and operations teams by providing standardized procedures for operational processes.
This is a part-time role, up to 20 hours a week.
This role is located in
Granite City, IL
and will be fully
on-site.
Responsibilities
Industrial Process Engineer Intern
Responsibilities:
Aid in the establishment of standards and policies for pollution control, quality control, testing, operating procedures, and inspection and maintenance of equipment in accordance with engineering principles and safety regulations
Spend time learning the process flow of 100+ different sub-processes utilizing 2000+ different stationary machines and 400+ mobile equipment to get an understanding of the products recycled.
Work in the field (including outdoors and in & around various industrial equipment) to properly assess current operating process to develop standard operating procedures.
Contribute to the support functions of the EHS teams. Identify unsafe practices and work with EHS team to develop safe working practices.Lead training activities for new or updated SOPs
Industrial Process Engineer Intern
Quali fications:
Pursuing bachelor's degree, in Industrial Engineering or an equivalent discipline
Demonstrates the ability to take charge/ownership of a process to enact change.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and CAD systems
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Data analysis skills
