This position assists with assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of selected technical aspects of patient care under direct supervision of the Charge RN, Assistant Head Nurse, Nurse Manager and/or the Director, to meet the requirements of the Joint Commission and other applicable federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies as well as meeting the goals and mission of the department.
Provides direct and indirect care for adolescent to geriatric patients to aid meeting the patients' needs as directed.Provides patients with activity opportunities appropriate to their ages and abilities and related to their plan for care, either individually and/or in group settings.
Education Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Completes de-escalation training within 5 months of hire if no previous de-escalation training or has not had a de-escalation training/refresher within past 3 calendar years.
(This does not apply to department 14290 – Amberwing)
Brainerd Lakes and East Markets:
In accordance with Minnesota Rules 245G.11 subdivision 1; all employees must be free of chemical use problems for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
Chemical use problems are defined as:
receiving treatment for substance use within the period specified for the position in the staff qualification requirements, including medication-assisted treatment; substance use or mental health disorders that have negatively impacted the staff member's job performance;substance use or mental health disorders that affect the credibility of treatment services with clients, referral sources, or other members of the community; and symptoms of intoxication or withdrawal on the job.

Pay Range $ $25.14 / hour The approximate base compensation range is posted, but the actual offer will reflect our total compensation and benefits package.
The offer will be determined by a number of factors including the selected candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, FTE, as well as internal equity among our team.
Weekends Every third weekendHolidays Yes Effective December 1, 2019: Job offers are contingent upon successful completion of a post-offer assessment, including a urine drug screen, immunization review, proof of required vaccinations, and background check.
