    We are seeking a Telecommunications Service Specialist to play a crucial role in implementing new projects and ensuring seamless operational support for our clients across the state.

    Responsibilities:

    • Activate and deactivate data switch ports on CISCO switches as required.
    • Change VLAN configurations as needed to optimize network performance.
    • Analyze bandwidth usage at various sites using agency tools.
    • Process telecommunication work requests from agencies using Agency Information Resource Management System and ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
    • Input and maintain accurate cable records in CICS and verify billing accuracy.
    • Program and maintain knowledge of VoIP phone systems, including troubleshooting and implementing new services.
    • Collaborate with Network Control Center, vendors, and technicians to troubleshoot voice network outages and issues.
    • Test new features with telephone companies and provide training to Network Control Center staff on system changes.
    • Coordinate, design, and implement new ACD, UCD, and IVR applications.
    • Move, add, and change work orders in the data network.
    • Program and maintain voice mailboxes and IVR applications.
    • Provide technical consultation, training, and information to agencies on voice and data networking.
    • Support state agencies in designing and implementing new technologies.
    • Stay updated on data services including AVPN, dedicated circuits, switches, hubs, ATM, and other networking services, providing expertise on costs and services to agencies.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in Data, Voice, Video, and LAN technologies.
    • Knowledge of Cisco UCM and desk phones.
    • Experience with CISCO switches and telecommunication systems.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a dynamic environment.
    • Previous experience in telecommunications or network support is preferred.
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
