Position Summary

This role is responsible for administering and managing clinical Audiological services efficiently and reliably to various patient groups, including inpatients, outpatients, and community members.

The focus is on timely and accurate service provision, with an emphasis on patient care and student support.

Key Responsibilities

Apply established principles and methods for assessing auditory and vestibular disorders in patients and their families.

Administer, interpret, and supervise clinical audiological services.

Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations, including air conduction, bone conduction, and speech testing.

Perform middle ear analysis and site of lesion testing.

Monitor patients undergoing ototoxic medication treatment.

Conduct neonatal hearing screenings in the NICU.

Perform Central Auditory Processing (CAP) testing.

Carry out electro-physiological testing and industrial hearing screenings.

Evaluate hearing aids and manage their selection, fitting, and follow-up care.

Provide counseling for individuals or groups with hearing impairments.

Perform minor repairs and modifications on hearing aids.

Assist in the development of audiology programs.

Collect data for Continuing Quality Assurance initiatives.

Deliver services as referred by physicians or mandated by state regulations.

Maintain contracts as a community service provider.

Gather necessary data for statistical review and prepare reports for referring physicians regarding diagnostic findings and rehabilitation recommendations.

Ensure compliance with medical recordkeeping standards set by relevant authorities.

Adhere to service delivery standards in all interactions and service provision.

Master's Degree in Audiology.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; 40 hours per week. Experience with infants, pediatrics, and geriatrics is preferred.

The department offers a comfortable environment, located in a medical office building across from a major hospital campus, facilitating collaboration with ENT practices and staff.
