Job Summary:

The Security Supervisor is responsible for the security and safety of our client's property and personnel. This position will supervise staff on assigned shift, while providing coaching & counseling, recognition, and discipline to those within their span of control.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and guide the Security Guards on shift to include, ensuring staff clocks in/out on time, approving/denying requests for time off, and addressing and documenting communication with team members with substandard performance.
• Regularly patrol and spot-check premises.
• Gather information and complete reports while maintaining confidentiality.
• Defuse disturbances by following company policies and procedures.
• Maintaining daily records to include Incident Reports.
• Motivating and coaching employees.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
• Assign work areas for Security Guards.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels for the assigned shift to include weekend shifts.
• Respond to alarms and distress calls from client and client's employees as well as Apex Sentry employees.
• Act as a liaison between Client and Apex Sentry employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work Monday through Friday - 3rd Shift (10pm to 6am).
• A minimum of 2 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Possess effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional manner.
• Must be able to observe situations and determine appropriate responses.
• Organized, have a keen eye for detail, trustworthy, and the ability to manage others effectively.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently.
• Law enforcement or military background, preferred.
• Enforce Contract/Client Standards.
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain, snow, or heat.
• Occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds.
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for extended periods of time.
