In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities
- Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ammonia refrigeration systems following schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with HVAC/R equipment using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic devices
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and property maintenance manuals to ensure precise installation and repairs
- Perform service technician duties such as appliance repair, property maintenance tasks, and mechanical adjustments to optimize system performance
- Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport equipment and materials to job sites
- Weld components or parts as needed for system assembly or repair projects
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving plumbing, refrigeration, or boiler systems to ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance
Experience
- Proven experience in construction or field service roles related to HVAC installation or maintenance
- Service technician experience working with HVAC/R systems or appliance repair highly preferred
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design principles necessary for accurate installations
- Mechanical knowledge encompassing plumbing, refrigeration (including ammonia refrigeration), welding, boiler operation, and equipment repair
- Hands-on experience with property maintenance tasks such as air conditioning system servicing and general mechanical repairs
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools like ohmmeters confidently for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required; experience operating heavy equipment or specialized tools is a plus
