- The Transfer Center Coordinator coordinates the transfer and acceptance of patients. The position collects clinical information relative to a transfer request and then facilitates the transfer by matching the patient's clinical needs to the facility with bed capacity and service capability. The position works in collaboration with multiple departments within each hospital to foster relationships with referring facilities, physicians, and hospital staff. The position works closely with Patient Access Coordinator and leadership team at each facility to identify, trend, and report barriers to patient throughput. Job Requirements
- EducationRequired: Graduate of an accredited school of nursingPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- ExperiencePreferred: Five years of clinical experience and at least one year of experience in Emergency Services, Case Management, Pre-Hospital, Flight Nursing, or a Transfer Center.
- SkillsExcellent interpersonal communication and multitaskingExcellent problem-solving abilities and critical thinkingProficient computer skills with Microsoft Office, especially ExcelAbility to efficiently use the electronic medical recordExcellent customer service skillsAbility to work with multiple people while meeting numerous requests and deadlines.Goal oriented with initiative and potentials for self-development. Maintains organizational and priority setting skills.Delegates appropriately to other team members
- Licensure/Certification/RegistrationRN License active in the state of MissouriBLS must be obtained within 90 days
