    This position is the Lead DevOps Engineer position


    Job Posting information is:

    Candidates for Lead DevOps Engineer should possess the skills of a software engineer and utilize those skills to solve challenges in traditional infrastructure and operations.

    An automation mindset is key. The individual should be resourceful, independent, able to problem-solve and engineer clever solutions to problems. The Lead DevOps Engineer should maintain currency on the latest technologies and possess a thirst to learn and experiment. Knowledge of DevOps principles and a desire to champion best practices are vital.

    Responsibilities

    Lead development teams to implement strategies for increasing quality and velocity of change.
    Continuously innovate, implement, and test better practices for the OCLC software release lifecycle.
    Promote and drive change in the organization in an effort to adopt better DevOps principles.
    Create solutions for applications to transition from tradition infrastructure to containers.
    Drive the development and usage of OCLC's hybrid cloud solution.
    Promote and implement pipeline orchestration for continuous delivery of applications.
    Design systems and processes to promote an enterprise movement towards continuous deployment.
    Analyze and recommend enterprise adoption of industry trends in technical solutions.
    Participate in reviews and discussions among organizational technical leaders on DevOps best practices.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science related discipline required.
    Excellent communication skills with a variety of technical expertise. Confident backing dissenting viewpoint.
    Container infrastructure design and implementation. Knowledge of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
    Experience deploying full stack solutions to cloudinfrastructure. Knowledgeof AWS solutions and implementation.
    Proven programming and scripting experience.
    Experience with continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment solutions.
    Expertise of software build automation and Infrastructure as Code practices.
    Agile methodology experience.
    History of implementing automated solutions to improve DevOps practices.

    Normal office environment.
