    Senior Tax Accountant or Staff Tax Accountant

    Jacobs & Company CPAs is dedicated to providing accounting services, tax strategies, and financial consulting to faith-based organizations, corporations, individuals and non-profit organizations. Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a self-starter that can autonomously lead tax and accounting engagements for clients in a variety of industries.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare moderate to complex corporate, partnership, individual and non-profit tax returns
    • Lead engagements throughout all phases of accounting including tax research, tax planning and preparation of financial statements
    • Develop and cultivate client relationships and provide business consulting including providing tax recommendations

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Accounting
    • 2+ years of recent public accounting tax experience OR recent accounting graduate with strong tax season internship experience
    • CPA license preferred, but not required
    • Ability to effectively lead tax engagements including completing tax returns, researching the information and asking the right questions
    • Attention to detail with strong communication, organizational, leadership, analytical, problem solving, client service and PC skills including MS Office and accounting software proficiency
    • Ability to juggle priorities, manage multiple engagements and deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    We provide a competitive salary of $50,000-$79,000 annually, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental and vision insurance and 401(k) plan with employer match. In addition, we offer opportunities for growth and advancement, overtime hours banking and generous PTO in a family-friendly, professional, supportive and collaborative work environment.
