Strategic Tax Director - Needham - IDG

Overview

IDG, a PE-backed Data and Analytics company, has an opportunity for a Senior Tax Manager or Director. This newly created position will develop and participate in various tax initiatives and projects.

You will work alongside our co-sourcing firm and report directly to the Senior Tax Director. You will be involved in the review of tax planning, reporting and compliance strategies, and evaluation of the tax impact and implications of business strategies and proposals.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of tax audits and administration; providing audit support to relevant authorities as necessary
• Participation in the development of tax systems, policies, processes, and technology
• Assistance with domestic and international tax planning, research, structuring, and compliance
• Leadership on strategic transactions
• Support with special tax-related projects, including transfer pricing studies and process improvements
• Management of external advisers across multiple jurisdictions
• Participation in meetings and committees as assigned
• Support for quarterly and annual tax provision preparation

Qualifications

• Tech-savvy tax professional with strong analytical skills and communication abilities
• Able to work independently and collaboratively within teams
• Demonstrated flexibility in handling diverse assignments
• Minimum 8 years of corporate tax experience in accounting firms, corporations, or law firms
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; certifications like CPA, JD/LLM are helpful but not required

This role can be based remotely in an approved location or in our Needham office with a hybrid work arrangement.
