Job summary
The supervisor of Environmental Services provides direct leadership and guidance to staff to ensure a high level of cleanliness, quality and service is achieved and maintained.Maintain a high level of cleanliness in assigned areas. May work closely with other departments to coordinate projects, room moves, room turn overs etc. Assign personnel to established work areas or project duties depending on location may assist with coverage in areas housekeeping and laundry during staffing shortages..
Plan and coordinate project work to ensure proper frequencies are maintained Ensure that staff receive proper orientation initial training ongoing education Ensure that proper supply control guidelines are followed Staff trained use all chemicals Use proactive approach identifying correcting facility quality assurance concerns..
Provide monitor individual guidance motivation associates enable each perform fullest potential Ensure high quality percentage clean maintained areas assignment Perform Quality Assurance Inspections as assigned Monitor daily equipment use cleaning maintenance Ensure all equipment clean professional appearance times Prepare associate disciplinary variance reports conduct follow-up investigation reporting findings appropriate leader Participate department safety maintain safe work environment times Report unsafe equipment acts Assure integrity security facility maintained times Ensure office storage closets clean organized well-maintained professional appearance at all times Assist Joint Commission compliance Have access areas where medications stored perform specific job related functions Participate staff selection process Interview candidates needed Schedule days off holidays vacations ensuring facilities needs met in accordance budgeted hours department position control Review duty lists regular relief associates periodically provide assistance revise current current time help maintain records make sure log books current maintain necessary documentation Monitor service binders assigned taking appropriate action resolve concerns comments Depending availability programs have access internal applications will have pagers technology responsible use appropriately when needed Respond concerns requests sense urgency take corrective action timely follow-up Depending location provide backup assistance approving timecards assisting evaluations getting schedules delivering ordering supplies Qualifications High School Diploma equivalent required Ability computer prefer supervisory experience Attend monthly meetings review meeting minutes Annually attend Infection Control Safety In-services specified personnel policy Benefits Sanford Health attractive benefits package qualifying full-time part-time employees
