Job Overview: A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking an experienced Intellectual Property Attorney with a strong background in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. The ideal candidate should be a registered USPTO practitioner with 8-14 years of experience and excellent academic credentials. The individual must demonstrate proficiency in legal writing, strong interpersonal skills, effective teamwork, superior judgment, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires the capability to articulate legal strategies and courses of action effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct global patent prosecution and manage patent portfolios for clients.
• Provide expertise in freedom to operate and patent clearance assessments.
• Engage in licensing agreements and other technology transactions.
• Conduct due diligence related to mergers and acquisitions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective legal support and coordination.

Requirements:

• A registered practitioner with the USPTO.
• 8-14 years of experience as an Intellectual Property Attorney.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Active Bar license in Texas.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in global patent prosecution and portfolio management.
• Knowledge of freedom to operate and patent clearance procedures.
