Job summary
The Senior Human Resource Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the Human Resources Function of the plant. Areas of responsibility include administer wage and salary programs, administer local benefit program, staffing, training, employee and/or labor relations,AAP and EEO compliance. This role will strongly partner with driving a culture supporting Environmental, Health, and Safety.
Responsibilities
- Establish an effective working relationship with management and employees to resolve problems and promote efficient work practices ,
- In union plants handle first through third steps in grievance procedure Assist in fourth step grievances handling arbitration contract negotiations Monitor payroll insurance claims unemployment claims to ensure compliance corporate guidelines procedures Administer staffing promotion transfer employees ensure compliance all local state federal regulations union contract Represent Company unemployment hearings Develop facilitate appropriate employee training employee development safety Conduct coordinate annual Management training employment/labor law company policies practices including sexual harassment Develop annual Affirmative Action Plan Responsible personnel benefits records employee orientation information update Active participation SHRM professional organization Maintain staffing levels necessary support plant operating objectives Administrative/clerical personnel HR specialists generalist Decisions made own authority Staffing recommendations Employee problem solving counseling benefit administration Decisions/actions require support associates higher approval Changes plant corporate policy procedures New training programs Partner drive culture promoting EH&S
