    Job DescriptionOverview:
    A cannabis vape tech company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the cannabis industry. We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join a growing international organization.

    The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and experience working with ERP systems.**Recently implemented a state-of-the-art ERP system to streamline the operations and enhance the financial management capabilities.

    Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accountant to play a crucial role in optimizing the cost accounting processes and leveraging the new ERP system.


    Pay:
    $65,000-$85,000 (open for higher range depending on exp level)

    Schedule:
    Monday - Friday; 2 days remote, 3 days on-site

    Location:

    Torrance, CADuties:
    Utilize the ERP system to gather and analyze cost data, including product costs, labor costs, overhead expenses, and variances.
    Track product, component and production cost variances.
    Prepare regular cost reports and present findings to management.
    Collaborate with the finance team to contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
    Provide cost-related insights and assist in setting cost-related targets.
    Act as a subject matter expert on the new ERP system, maximizing its functionality for cost accounting purposes.

    Train and support team members in using the ERP system effectivelyAssist in Accounts ReceivableAssist in bookkeepingAssist in sales and excise tax managementAssisting Clients and Vendors (phone calls, emails, text) on any questions or concerns regarding accountingEnsure receipts and other records are organized for the auditAssist in the quarterly reviews and yearly auditAssist CFO with analyzing and approving deals from a cost perspectiveQualifications:A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or another related discipline.

    Background in public accountingProgressive experience in corporate or manufacturing Accounting or equivalent.

    Advanced level proficiency in knowledge of cost management and cost planning systems (examples include PEFF, shop floor cost target setting by shop, cost visualization, cost reporting by production line).New Model cost planning and cost follow experience.
