    We are seeking an experienced Lead Sterile Processing Technician to be responsible for cleaning, assembling, and sterilizing all equipment, supplies and/or instruments.

    WORK SCHEDULE:

    • Monday-Friday
    • Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays
    • 5X

    WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Perform and oversee the activities involved in decontaminating, inspecting, cleaning, processing, assembling, storing, and sterilizing reusable surgical instruments
    • Ensure staff follow cleaning procedures per manufacturer's instructions
    • Prioritizes immediate needs for the scheduled cases of the day
    • Ensures satisfactory completion of instruments and supplies for the following day's cases
    • Acts as liaison between the Sterile Processing Department, the Operating Room and the nursing staff to meet all sterile processing needs
    • Responsible for education within the department and training of new staff
    • Reviews documentation, sterilization test results, and equipment monitors and records for accuracy
    • Coordinates maintenance and service of equipment
    • Works closely with Infection Control Consultant and OR Manager to ensure all assignments are performed in accordance with the ASC Standards for sterility control
    • Keeps OR Manager informed of problems or issues with staff, vendors, and equipment in a timely manner
    • Perform other tasks as assigned

    EXPERIENCE YOU'LL NEED:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • IAHCSMM/CBSPD Certification
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Sterile Processing with one year in a lead or charge role preferred
    • Experience with inventory control, tracking systems, purchasing, and use of computers, decontamination, and sterilization systems
    • Ability to communicate effectively
    • Must be able to organize and prioritize work
    • Must be able to work well with others
