- Assist Supervisor to coordinate personnel scheduling with business activities. Participates in the emergency on-call and supervisor weekend rotation.
- Assist Supervisor in building competence among employees by conducting appropriate training activities and through appropriate supervision related activities. Participate in employee programs and activities.
- Participate in conducting routine inspection of animal holding rooms, support areas, facilities, equipment and materials to determine the degree to which established levels of materials availability, animal facility support, sanitation levels, environmental parameters and security are being met/exceeded.
- Maintains own required attendance level and adherence to work schedule in accordance with required staffing levels in order to ensure that assigned duties are completed.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science or related discipline.
- Three years of laboratory animal barrier facility experience. Working knowledge of laboratory animal welfare guidelines and AAALAC, International guidelines. One year of computer experience with MSWord, PowerPoint and Excel programs and administrative experience in support of site operations required.
- AALAS certification at the (LAT) or (LATG) level. We will consider (LAT) but you MUST achieve the (LATG) within six months from hire date.
