    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at the University of California. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for providing technical and general accounting assistance to the Assistant Director of Finance.

    Your key responsibilities will include:

    • : Perform reconciliations of cash, revenue, claims, and A/R accounts.
    • : Reconciliation of financial reports, balance sheet items, and other information for FPG Departments.
    • : Reconcile University accounting ledgers for all departments on a monthly basis to ensure that accounts are reflected accurately. Prepare reconciling journal entries as necessary.
    • : Processing the general ledger month-end closing including coordination with internal and external data customers and suppliers, internal and external financial reporting, liaise with finance department contacts and provide support for the Faculty Practice Group (FPG) Departments.
    • : Performing professional accounting duties such as prepare journal ledger entries, identify and analyze variances of financial data, maintenance, consolidation and reconciliations of financial records.
    • : Additionally, may be assigned the responsibility of providing training, guidance, and assistance to other employees.

    You will work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. We are looking for someone with a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
