Order Picker

We are seeking an Order Picker to join our team at Walmart. As an Order Picker, you will play a crucial role in fulfilling customer orders and maintaining optimal inventory levels within the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Order Picking:
• Use handheld devices or picking lists to locate and select merchandise from designated storage locations within the warehouse.
• Navigate through aisles and storage racks to retrieve items efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness of each order.
• Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing to ensure customer satisfaction.
2. Product Packaging:
• Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials such as boxes, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts.
• Label packages with shipping information, barcodes, tracking numbers, and any other required documentation.
• Ensure that packages are sealed properly to prevent damage during transit.
3. Inventory Management:
• Update inventory records in the warehouse management system to reflect items picked and packed for shipment.
• Communicate any inventory discrepancies or shortages to supervisors for resolution.
• Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.
4. Quality Control:
• Conduct visual inspections of merchandise for any defects, damages, or discrepancies before picking and packing.
• Report any issues or concerns to supervisors for resolution.
• Follow quality control procedures to maintain high standards of product quality and customer satisfaction.
5. Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries in the warehouse.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding workplace safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
