Description
Job DescriptionPosition: Buyer
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join our Global Shared Services Purchasing team who will support the transactional process by creating requisitions and purchase orders in SAP. The Buyer will have functional purchasing responsibilities for an assigned area or function and use standardized procurement processes that meet business needs while adhering to corporate standards and mitigating financial and liability risks.
Key Accountabilities
Creating purchase orders in SAP and administering the lifecycle of a purchase order from requisition receipt to supplier payment
Responsible for working inquiries that are assigned to them with a sense of urgency and professionalism
Evaluating vendor quotes to determine most cost effective solution
Verify invoice accuracy and facilitate timely resolution of discrepancies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to resolve transactional issues in a timely manner
Ensuring all procurement activities are in compliance with the company Supply Chain Policy, including all proper documentation, use of systems, approvals, and communications
Ability to determine root cause issues and effectively communicate corrective action to vendors, stakeholders or other team members
Assist in data clean up efforts and work on special projects, as assigned
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support for supply chain initiatives
Required Skills/Experience
Previous experience in a purchasing or other transactional role
Proficiency with SAP (basic level at a minimum)
Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively navigate unknown territories, independently find solutions and prioritize effectively
Effectively utilize available resources to solve problems
NICE TO HAVE experience with SMART by GEP
NICE TO HAVE experience with PowerBI and/or Spotfire dashboards
Education: HS Diploma/GED
Work Schedule: 5-40 Schedule (8Hr Days) - 5 days on / 2 days off
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $ $42.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This pay information is being provided pursuant to applicable law and is based in part on market location.
