The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care is seeking Pediatric Anesthesiologists at Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland (BCH Oakland). The incoming providers will join a group that emphasizes high-quality, patient-centered perioperative care with a focus on evidence-based medicine. This position also comes with a faculty appointment with one of the premier academic anesthesiology departments in the nation, which currently consists of over 200 faculty, approximately 100 residents, and over 20 research trainees and fellows.

BCH Oakland is a pediatric acute care hospital located in Oakland, California. The hospital has 191 beds and is affiliated with the UCSF School of Medicine. The hospital provides comprehensive pediatric specialties and subspecialties to infants, children, teens, and young adults aged 0–21 throughout Northern California. BCH Oakland also features a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, one of five in the state.

UCSF's world-class research enterprise includes clinical, translational, and laboratory research-based at BCH Oakland. The current programs include research and treatment for a variety of children's health issues, such as pediatric obesity, cancers, sickle cell disease, AIDS/HIV, hemophilia, and cystic fibrosis.

Successful candidates will hold an MD or DO degree, be ABA board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology, and be fellowship trained in pediatric anesthesiology or have equivalent advanced training and/or experience beyond that of anesthesia residency training.
