    Compliance and Risk Manager

    Location: South Chicago Clinic 9119 S. Exchange Ave, Chicago, IL 60617

     

    Chicago Family Health Center is seeking a Compliance and Risk Manager to ensure our organization's policies and procedures comply with state and federal regulatory and ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in risk management and patient safety initiatives, serving as a resource to the organization.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop, implement, and enforce the organization's Risk Management and Patient Safety initiatives and programs.
    • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory and ethical standards.
    • Provide guidance to management and staff on regulatory agency compliance activities.
    • Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans.
    • Maintain compliance documentation and records.
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance and risk management issues.
    • Oversee the organization's incident reporting system (Safety Zone) and implement a systematic approach for managing and minimizing risk throughout each clinic.
    • Manage data needs and information flow for the program.
    • Analyze and aggregate industry trends for reporting to internal stakeholders, the Board of Directors, and regulatory agencies.
    • Receive, monitor, and report on cases of violation related to internal business or operational/clinical policies.
    • Track patient complaint/grievance processes and collaborate with site leadership on resolution before they evolve into liability claims.
    • Investigate, track, and report on any liability claims filed against the organization/providers/staff.
    • Work with the CMO and clinic providers to review and perform risk assessment as part of the malpractice claims management process to ensure providers operate within their scope of practice and proper standards of care are met.

     

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health Administration, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred.
    • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in risk management or compliance is required.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading clinical quality case reviews using tools like root-cause analysis is required.
    • A track record of capacity and team building, including the ability to recruit and retain high-performing individuals and develop the talents and expertise of staff, is required.
